What Sets PPAB Credentials Apart
A key component of our PPAB credentials is that each one of our three levels tests both knowledge and skills.
At each level the skill requirement and knowledge criteria are different. If your current credential does not include skill or knowledge assessment, then you will be required to submit skill videos or take the appropriate examination in line with the credential you are transferring into.
Operational Guidelines & STEPS
You can begin the transfer process, submit your documents and then complete the credential with us if you are missing an important component. So your current credential can be used to complete certain parts.
For example if you are a CPDT-KA and you wish to transfer into our PCT-A then you can transfer in your knowledge testing through your examination results and then complete the PCT-A requirements by submitting your skill videos
In short our current three level PPAB credentials require skill and knowledge testing. To successfully transfer a credential across to PPAB you will need to provide certified proof of passing these two elements from a reputable credentialing body. You can part transfer in one component and supplement the transfer with correct video submission to us directly based on the PPAB criteria. These criteria can be found in our level guides. See our FAQs

The Pet Professional Accreditation Board - Credential Transfer.
Starting on January 15, 2018, the Pet Professional Accreditation Board (PPAB), grants permission for specific industry credentials to be transferred to PPAB under special circumstances. Each specific level has operational guidelines and eligibility criteria that has to be met by the transferring candidate.
PPAB currently operates three levels of pet industry credentials. Each level requires the candidate to meet specific eligibility criteria and then follow an incremental process to reach accreditation. At each credential level this process includes the testing of both academic knowledge and mechanical skills. To transfer a credential into PPAB at any level the candidate must be able to demonstrate that they have correlating ethics in place, a competent knowledge and the practical skills to carry out their craft at the level to which they are applying. If only one component of the credential requirement can be demonstrated through the candidates current credential then they will be required to supplement their application through either the taking of an examination or the submission of specific skill videos.
