PPAB offers the only Accredited Training Technician and Professional Canine Trainer  certification for professionals who believe there is no place for shock, choke, prong, fear or intimidation in canine training and behavior practices. 

PPAB also offers the only psychometrically developed examination for Training & Behavior Consultants who also support  these humane and scientific practices


The Accreditation Process 

Accreditation Gatekeeper One - Check You Are Eligible

  1. Determine if you meet the eligibility criteria
  2. Prepare your eligibility documents

Accreditation Gatekeeper Two - Your Application Fee
  1. Apply For accreditation and pay your non-refundable application fee 
  2. Receive your application confirmation email from PPLB with your document submission form and link
  3. Complete your document submission form and attach all the necessary documents. 
  4. Submit your eligibility documents
Successful completion of Gatekeeper Two means you, the applicant, have met the required criteria and have been 
given the green light to proceed to Gatekeeper Three


Accreditation Gatekeeper Three - Part A Take Your On-Line Test


  1. Pay your  fee 
  2. Receive your confirmation email that the fee has been received
  3. Schedule your online  invigilated exam.  (you will need to have a webcam installed on your computer)
  4. Take you invigilated exam
  5. Receive your exam results
Upon successful completion of the invigilated exam the applicant will be eligible to move on to  Gatekeeper Three Part B
 (Exams can be retaken after three months and for an additional $85.00)

Accreditation  Gatekeeper Three - Part B Complete Your Exam Videos
  1. The applicant will now be required to submit via email the video links as documented in your manual

Accreditation  Gatekeeper Four - Requirements for Accredited Dog Behavior Consultant
  1. Upon successful completion of  Gatekeeper Three - Part B the applicant will be asked to provide four case studies as specified in the aplication manual.
